My name is Ellen Metwalli, I am a sophomore at Syracuse University, where I am currently studying Visual Communications with a concentration in Photojournalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I am also double minoring in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science. I have been a photographer for several campus organizations such as, Baked Magazine, Unpeeled Entertainment News Show, and I am also on the executive board for Sapphic Magazine as Head of Photography and Co-head of socials. I am currently serving as the 2024 Harford Fair Queen Alternate; I have won numerous awards for my photographs and artwork at the Harford Fair, which can be viewed on this website. A little bit about me, I grew up in the D.C. area, splitting my time between there and my current home in rural Pennsylvania, where my grandparents live on a multigenerational dairy farm. I enjoy painting, singing, acting, baking, SFX makeup artistry, and of course photography!
